Description | The head has a low casque with no occipital lobes, the gular crest consists of small skin flaps covered with granular scales. This species has heterogeneous squamation, and the flanks are adorned with two lengthwise rows of large plate like scales. The normal colors of gray, brown, and creamy yellow. When excited males may show light blue or green spots on their flanks, head and eyelids. A blurred orange stripe runs length-wise from the head to the tail, and the interstitial skin of the gular is bluish white. |
